Saif Ali Khan - ‘All is well with Kareena and me’

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have always been open about their relationship and their romance has been up and going for quite sometime now. However, of late, the gossip columns have been red with news that their relationship is going through a rough phase probably because of Saif’s growing fondness for Deepika Padukone who is his co-star in Aakarshan and Cocktail.
Saif, on the other hand, vehemently denies such reports and said at a press statement, “I would like to reassure our fans and well-wishers that all is well with Kareena and I…we are working hard but we always make time for each other.
All these rumours are disturbing and untrue…especially when families are brought into it in such bad taste. I wouldn’t like to say anymore except we are very happy together.”

Will Saif replace Akshay as cooking show anchor?

Chhote Nawab might host the culinary show previously anchored by the action star

Buzz is that Saif Ali Khan is being approached to host the second season of Masterchef. The Chhote Nawab is being considered the ideal anchor of the show that celebrates food good food. And the actor-producer is known for his taste of good life.

Akshay Kumar hosted the last season reality cookery show. However, might not be able to do so due to a very busy 2011 schedule.

Says a source, "The channel feels that Saif has it in him. As he hails from a family of nawabs, good food has been a part and parcel of his life. And Akshay's busy calendar this year, does not leave him with time for the show."

B-stars on small screen
Adds the source, "With more and more B-Town stars doing television shows, the channel is roping in Saif. They feel he, too, should try his hand at the small screen."

Akshay Kumar

Apparently, things are in the initials stages and only after the star has given his nod, a formal announcement will be made.

With channels offering mega bucks to the stars, the small screen appears to be an extremely viable option.
Last season, the channel felt Akki was the perfect choice as he has worked as a chef in Bangkok before he began his Bollywood innings.

The Khiladi has always reiterated that apart from action what he digs is cooking. As reported 'Akshay takes fear to a new level (Hitlist, June 3), the star stated, "Action and cooking are my passion.

That's the reason I do such shows. Daredevil stunts and cooking are things that gives me a high."

Saif, Nana…who could be Chanakya on the big screen?

The role needs someone who can pull off a quiet, understated, scheming personality

Politics and Bollywood go together like…err…rain and slush, fish and chips, SRK and love songs. And now there will be a new partnership with UTV Motion Pictures and Chanakya. No, not the long-gone historical figure, but a national bestseller from Ashwin Sanghi calledChanakya’s Chant, published by Westland and released in January this year. UTV has acquired the rights to the book, which is all about politics in two different times – one set in about 289 BC, when the original Chanakya was formulating his policies, and the other in contemporary India in Kanpur, where Pandit Gangasagar Mishra plots to get his protégée Chandini Gupta to head the country. Now have we seen something like this before in, perhaps,Raajneeti? Or even Satta? And who could play the leading role of the modern-day story? We see a Machiavellian Nana Patekar, or even a quietly nasty Pradeep Singh Rawat (who played Ghajini) doing a great job. Or – and this is a fabulous idea – Saif Ali Khan, doing a sophisticated reprisal of his Langda Tyagi character in Omkara. You agree?
