‘Ra.One’ digitally in two avatars

Not the avatars which you think… We are referring to the different aspects in which Shah Rukh Khan’s most ambitious project ‘Ra.One’ will be presented.
Buzz is that the much anticipated superhero flick is being considered to be released in two versions – ‘Bada Ra.One’ and ‘Chhota Ra.One’. Sounds interesting? Then read on…
According to sources, ‘Bada Ra.One’ will be a typical, full length commercial version, targeted at general audience and that will run for 120 minutes including songs and dance sequences.
While, ‘Chhota Ra.One’, the smaller version of 90 minutes, will be sans songs and said to be re-edited version. This will have added action and visual FX sequences in 3D which will attract the young audience. And this one is heard to release post the full length 2D version.
Recently production house Prime Focus Technologies successfully brought out the 90 secs promo in 3D format and after watching it SRK and director Anubhav Sinha were quite impressed. Following this, Shah Rukh is confident in making ‘Ra.One’ film in 3D, but currently he is in discussion mode and wants to be clear of every aspect.
“We need about 60 to 70 days to turn all the sequences into 3D. If we are ready with what we want on time, after handing over the VFX to Prime Focus, I will convert parts of Ra.One into 3D, but not the entire film,” quoted Shah Rukh to sources.
