LATEST UPDATE TO BBUDDAH HOGA TERA BAAP | LATEST UPDATE OF MOVIE BBHUDDAH HOGA TERA BAAP

Amitabh, Abhishek shock fans with blink-and-miss appearance

Don’t be surprised if Bbuddah – Hoga Terra Baap gets about 4000 viewers less than expected

Imagine this: A huge shopping mall filled with screaming fans – fans crammed on jammed escalators, jostling for space across three floors, standing on chairs and falling over railings. Fans whistling, yelling their favourite actor’s name. That too stretched for over more than two hours. It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen such hysteria. And for whom? A 68-year-old ageing superstar. (His son coming too was an unexpected bonus.) So when the superstar duo finally make it to the stage, you expect something as fiery as the crackers that heralded their arrival. Instead, what happens? Dud. Amitabh, in a red coat taken straight from the film’s wardrobe, takes the mike to say, “Thank you for coming. You are the ones who make us who we are. Without your love, we are nobody. Thank you.” And that’s it. The two walk away. Of course the spectators were disappointed. We heard quite a few of them complaining, “Is this what they made us stand two hours for?” What they didn’t know was that Amitabh and Abhishek had actually arrived on time, but they were ensconced in the theatre upstairs. They addressed the mediapersons who were more interested in Aishwarya’s pregnancy than the movie itself. Abhishek even said, “The last time I was here, it was for my home productionPaa. Now, I am here as I am a paa-to be.” They also judged the contest that had been announced as part of the event. It was to be for the public, but after seeing the huge crowd, it was decided that the contest would take place in the theatre away from the eyes of the waiting public. However, the organisers had committed to the mall that the Bachchans would make an appearance, and that’s why the two-minute cameo. Now imagine this: the 1000-odd disappointed fans will vent their anger to an approximate four friends each. And by the time the movie releases, atleast 4000 people will not be interested anymore to watch it in the first weekend. So that sort of negates the point of the entire exercise, right?
