Un 'Happy' Khans: Shah Rukh, Salman Battle For Title

Yooooooo hoooooooo. Gear up for another round of controversy between the two irrepressible KhansSalman and Shah Rukh.
Case in point: Film title Happy New Year.
Earlier reports hinted that Farah Khan was to helm a flick by the said name for Red Chillies Entertainment. That, though, was at a time when matters were rather halcyon and hunky dory between the duo. Owing to differences and alleged ego hassles over Tees Maar Khan, the two former pals subsequently hit a sour note withHappy New Year getting shelved ultimately.

This time around, producer Bhushan Kumar was desirous of using the title. Apparently, when SRK got wind of the fact, he koolly asked Kumar and director duo Vinay and Radhika ,who are known to be expressly pally with Salman after helming 'Lucky – No Time For Love', to alter their film's title.

The trio, was not in the least bit amused, not to mention one shirtless Khan who didn't find it funny either. Kumar opted for the next best recourse and rechristened his flick I Love New Yearshowcasing Sunny Deol and Kangna Ranaut.
An irked Vinay states in a tabloid quote, "We asked the producer to get us the title 'Happy New Year', but it belongs to Shah Rukh Khan. I can't understand why he can't give us the title when he is not making the film anymore?"

Incidentally, expect more fireworks in the media as I Love New Year and Don 2 illumine cinemas on the same eventful Friday. Producer Bhushan Kumar, however, would like to describe the move as being purely "coincidental" and asserts that "we didn't plan it on purpose."
"I don't know if personal issues can really affect personal decisions," Bhushan Kumar is said to have been quoted.
